A marketing dashboard is a visual tool that allows you to see the key results of digital campaigns, social media, and sales channels in one place. You can connect different data sources (such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, among others) to analyze performance in real time and make data-driven decisions. This type of dashboard makes it easier to track goals, identify opportunities or problems, and clearly present results to teams or clients.
Recommendations for building a Dashboard:
1. Define specific goals: Show only the metrics that really help evaluate performance, such as ROAS, CPA, or conversions.
2. Use interactive filters: Add controls to change dates, campaigns, or platforms, making analysis more flexible and useful.
3. Keep the design simple and clean: Avoid excessive colors, unnecessary graphics, or duplicate metrics. A good dashboard should be easy to read in seconds.
When creating a dashboard, you can do it in three ways:
1) Starting from scratch and creating each component separately (tables, charts, etc.):
In Components there is a detailed article explaining the available components and their variants.
2) Starting from a template:
You can choose between two pre-set templates depending on the type of business you work with: Ecommerce or Lead Generation.
In addition, each template will automatically adapt to the data sources you select. For example, if you choose that the client uses Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and GA4, the template will include components related to those platforms.
Once you have created the dashboard with the selected template, you can customize it: move components, delete those you don't need, add new ones, among other options. For more information about the available components, you can consult... (complete according to the resource or link you want to indicate). Components
3) Clone an existing dashboard:
This option is ideal when you already have a dashboard that works as a model. For example, if you have already created an optimal dashboard for an e-commerce client (either from an edited template or built from scratch), you can clone it and simply assign the new advertising accounts to the new dashboard.
This way, you can have a report ready for a new client in just a few clicks!
How to share your dashboard with clients or teams:
Finally, to share the dashboard with the client or your team, there are two options available:
1) Downloading to PDF and sharing the file
2) Generating a public link
Anyone who accesses the public link will be able to view the dashboard with data updated in real time, without having to log in to the platform.
You can also choose a specific section to view or, if you prefer, view all sections in their entirety.
In addition, you can decide whether you want to allow viewers to select the date range and modify the dashboard filters according to your preferences.
You also have the option to further customize your dashboard by adding two logos: one on the left margin and one on the right margin, to adapt the aesthetics to your brand's visual identity or that of your client.
Finally, you can obtain the embed code from your dashboard to easily integrate it into a website, intranet, or any platform that accepts embedded content.
3) Sending automated reports by email:
From the control panel, select the option to send automatic reports and click on “+ Add report.”
Select the dashboard you want to send and add the email addresses of the people who will receive the report.
You can configure the report to be sent daily, weekly, or monthly.
Once you have chosen the frequency, you can choose the day and time you want it to be sent.
To finish, click on “+ Add” and the automatic report will be ready. From that moment on, it will be sent on a scheduled basis according to the frequency and format you have configured.
Dashboard aesthetics:
The aesthetics of a dashboard are not just about “visuals”: they improve readability, organize the hierarchy of information, and make it easier for customers and teams to understand the data in seconds. In Master Metrics, you can adjust the background color of the dashboard, text color, fonts, and the appearance of each widget (tiles, tables, and graphs) without affecting the data.
To begin, click on the following icon, located at the top right of the screen.
Then, you can choose between two types of templates: pre-built and created by other users, or create a custom style.
1) Pre-built and user-created templates: you can choose formats already available in the software, such as Default, Dark, or Master Metrics.
For example, this is what a board would look like if you select the pre-built Dark Mode.
2) Create a custom style: you can adjust the background color of the dashboard, the text color, the font style and size, as well as the background and text color of the title widget. You can also choose a default or custom color palette.
For example, this is what a board would look like if you select the custom style format:
