FAQs Importing Sheets
1. What kind of information can I import from Google Sheets to Master Metrics?
You can import any type of information you need to complement your marketing reports. For example:
Prospect evolution from your CRM.
Sales made in physical stores.
Investments in offline campaigns (such as public advertising).
This allows you to create more comprehensive reports and obtain more accurate metrics, such as total cost per sale (adding digital and physical channels).
2. How do I connect a Google Sheets file to Master Metrics?
Click on the “+” button in Master Metrics and select Google Sheets as your data source. Then:
Connect your Gmail account.
Grant the necessary permissions.
Select the file and sheet you want to import.
Define the range or let Master Metrics detect it automatically.
3. What recommendations should I follow when preparing my Google Sheets file for import?
Make sure the column names are in the first row and select the “Use first row as headers” option.
If the table can grow in rows, delimit the range by columns only, not rows.
If there is more than one table on the same sheet, you must indicate which one you want to import specifically.
You can use ranges such as A1:E999 to allow for new rows in the future.
4. Can I import data without a date field?
Yes. If there is no date field, Master Metrics will still import the information, but when viewing it (in dashboards, summaries, etc.), it will not be filtered by time range. In that case, all data in the table will be displayed.
5. What can I do once I have imported the file into Master Metrics?
Once the table has been imported, you can:
Edit field names.
Define dimensions (such as dates, campaigns, locations).
Define metrics (such as costs or revenues).
Adjust data types (text, date, currency, percentage, etc.).
Configure aggregations (sum, average, minimum, maximum, etc.).
Set the number of decimal places.
You can then use this information to create dashboards, pivot tables, calculated metrics, and much more.
